StudioX landed Canada in 2022, to develop international businesses on subject of Digital Media Production and Education. Its initial works were consulting to VEDU Group (November 2022 to July 2023), contributed the latter’s group corporation management, group business model and its subsidiary MTM College’s operation. StudioX intends to collaborate with Canada public career colleges providing or co-developing state-of-the-art and trendy curriculums in Digital Media and Film Production. StudioX contributes Hollywood industrial resources and artist faculty. We can enable a government-sponsored public-school program, such as a Center of Film Production and Digital Media, as well design and operate a profitable commercial virtual production facility with ROI.

Johann Kuhn:

Serves StudioX Production’s landing Canada. He served function of the chancellor of Max The Mutt College of Animation, Design and Arts. He is also the initiator and fundraiser of a Canada’s Technology Innovation Park.

Academics: Applied mathematics and control theory. He received a BS Math, and a MS EE in McGill University, followed by an intensive graduate-study in mathematics in University of Florida. 

Global Enterprises: Kohn has been life-time successful and experienced in East Canada provinces with global communication corporations. His R&D and engineering tasks have spread out in Canada, USA, South America and Europe.

Reach Out: Kuhn: has 15+ years worked with Canada provincial government (ON and QB) administrations in local university and industrial relations. Kohn masters communications with government, agencies, industries, First Nations and angle investors. 

Recent Works: In Toronto, Kuhn runs its own business, diversified to Energy Storage System with Asia supply chain and aircraft engineering with Swiss general aviation.

Jin Luo:

Founder and general partner of StudioX Production, LLC. He spent 6+ month travel to Toronto, served a Canada group corporation as chief engineer, and the CEO of its owned Visual Art College. 

Academics: background has an origin of BS in Computer Engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology, and a MS in Computer Science from Caltech, in 1980s. Luo was served as a Staff Researcher in Computation and Neural Systems in Caltech and Vision at Rockwell Science Center, for 15+ years as a US government contracted researcher in advanced integrated circuit (IC) designs, specialty in visual data processes and CAD (Tanner Research, Inc. Pasadena, California). He later founded and served in a US venture capital startup (Vivache Semiconductor, Boston, Beijing, Rochester).

International Business and Technology Developments: He stationed a 1/3 of his time in Beijing for some 15 years, through IC design startups, Frontier Technologies and business consulting. He operated partnership with John P. Hughes for JH Film Tech PEK, Ltd. serving as Acting GM, and John Hughes Visual Tech NGB, Ltd. as co-founder. Luo’s Frontier Technologies Consortium Global, LLC (FTC, www.ftcg.net) started in 2008. He has accumulated diversified knowledges and experiences in technology and business developments, with practical skills in corporate operations, specifically concentrated on mature-and-proven technologies that enable trendy innovations and applications. Luo and his European patners hosts an innovation portfolio in Zurich, a AIEC International GmbH. Luo is fluent in China traditional culture, historic and modern politics, comparison literature (English and Chinese), with distinguished observations and views. He initiated partnerships that hosted creative content developments and technologies. 

Hollywood Industry: Luo’s involvement in Hollywood film industry started with his early personal encounter in 1980s. But his interests grew through years, only relating to his life-time engineering practices in vision technologies and digital signal processing. In 2012, he started consulting to a top US Visual Effect company (R&H Studios 1987-2013, Los Angeles). Jin Luo formed a partnership in Beijing in 2015, which initiated with a group of Hollywood artists, who technically contributed all 4 major VFX-intense films produced in China in 2017-2019, including two who received record-high box office returns in China. 

Canada Development: Luo engineered the plan, model and operation of a digital technology sector in Toronto, including local visual art college’s expansion into modern digital media within train-on-job of trendy industrial environment. This will formulated Canada career colleges into a new category and level of leading-edge academic. Namely a Fusion of Career Education and Virtual Production. Luo brought 5 Hollywood, Montreal and British Columbia studios and institutes along, to collaborate and support colleges for the transformation. This fulfills private educators’ ambitious involving in visual production, studio operation and media production. From Hollywood to Ontario and British Columbia, Jin’s passion and solution contributes a new movement in digital media design among Canadian career colleges, just like what Bauhaus did to industrial designs in Germany.
